January 2008January 2008 is more than just the start of a
new year. It marks the first month of the 7th centenary of water
milling at Shelsley Walsh. Yes, seven hundred years since the first
record of a watermill in the parish.
The year started with with
a MAC get-together on New Year's Day when we took the opportunity of
showing off the waterwheel with a full head of water behind it.
The first working day was not until the 8th, and turned out better than forecast, weather-wise at least. Read the diary entry by clicking here.
