Brickwork and splints. Work continues on the waterwheel and the walls.
31st October.
Chasing tree roots and work on the waterwheel. Oh yes, bricks got laid as well!
26th October.
The tailrace is now fully open and work continues on the wheel. Work done on
24th October.
We struggle with a tree stump but the stone nut is freed off and more bricks get laid.
19th October.
A whole bucket is removed from the waterwheel and a lintel is installed. News from a wet Tuesday.
17th October.
Waterwheel restoration gets of to a hot start as the gas cutter comes out. A sizable team means that several jobs advanced this Thursday.
12th October.
The waterwheel turns for the first time in 80 years so work on the wheel can now start in earnest. More bricks get laid.
10th October.
On a very wet Thursday we are still struggling to move one stone nut. A bit of brushwork reveals some quality timberwork.
5th October.
Max uses a spade, John lays even more bricks and Colin & Hedley dismantle the PTO shaft. Work done on
3rd October.
