November 2006
It's November 2006 and clocks have gone back and the nights are drawing in so working parties are getting briefer.
Work this week has concentrated on building the archway and wall that form the side of the walkway past Shelsley watermill.
Our regular reporter fell victim to an autumn cold so this report covers
the 28th and 30th.
We found evidence today that Shelsley Watermill used to have a breast-shot waterwheel.The entry for
the 23rd.
The inside waterwheel bearing is now cleaned up and reinstalled after another days work at Shelsley Mill. Just some of what went on on
the 21st .
We find ourselves picking teeth at Shelsley Watermill. More news from the restoration of our old mill on
16th November.
Centre-post back in place, concrete poured and walls rebuilt. What we did at Shelsley Watermill on
November 14th.
Work was carried out on both ends of the centre-post this Thursday.
9th November
This Tuesday the bottom bearing gave up its secrets and emerged from its bed. What we did on the
7th.
We are greeted with icicles this Thursday, but work carries on.
